On May 9, 2009, CNN gave accolades to the Magic City Black Expo for its placement in the nationally publicized “United States of Innovation” article. The national news network praised MCBE, along with a number of equally innovative projects from across the nation, and paid tribute to the event for spurring business growth among young black entrepreneurs throughout the state.
